NSW Inter Schools Badminton Tournament Result

The heat of Lunar New Year’s spread out to community on Sunday 29 January with our tournament.  Funding to this project has been provided by the NSW Government.

The tournament received registration of 236 players : 153 players from 36 secondary schools and 83 students from 33 primary schools . 48 teams competed one single and two double matches each round in 24 courts. Though 7 hours’ competition, Team 28 with players of Trinity, Kings and PLC Croydon became the winner of secondary division. Team 13 from James Ruse advanced to semi final ranked 3rd in Secondary Division and claimed number 1 under single school section. Team 7 with players of Carlingford Public, Murray Farm and Epping West won primary division. Congratulations to all players onsite.

Third Place: Team 19 (4th in Division, since 3rd place Team 13 was awarded Winner under Single School section, third place awarded to Team 19)

NSW Badminton confirmed that our school becomes their affiliated club effective from 2023. Please email eppingwestchineseschool@outlook.com for our membership and training sessions.

The benefits for the NSW Badminton members affiliation besides the insurance package is that they will assist in our participation numbers with the NSW government. They are also part of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) international community for any projects besides Badminton Australia.

NSW Badminton members will be able to participate in sanctioned BNSW tournaments at member prices and attend coaching and umpiring education courses.
