Epping West Chinese School is pleased to invite your students to participate NSW Inter Schools Badminton Tournament on Sunday 29 January 2023 at no cost. Entry closes on 30 November 2022. Funding to this project has been provided by the NSW government.
Team Tournament Rule:
The competition will have two divisions: Primary and Secondary, bounded by 2023. Teams can be formed by students from one school, or up to 3 schools which will be in different subdivision.
Each team consists at least four players with at least one girl. State level or above players between 2019 to 2022 are exclusive. We provide assistance in team-up as long as the duly completed spreadsheet with comment is returned.
Each round will have one single match and two double matches. One player is allowed to pay single and double match in one round. Players can play in any game regardless of gender.
Each team will be placed into a group with similar level and component. For example, if all team players are girls, they have possibilities to play against other teams formed by girls in first round.
Qualification matches will be played in a one-set, 21-point format. There is no tie-break system. Matches won, points won and points lost in all matches are counted towards a team’s final score, that will determine whether a team makes it into the quarter finals.
All players will receive Medal of Participation. Qualified teams, Team Supervisors and Volunteers will be awarded with a free T shirt.
Team Supervisors are required to provide Working with Children Check number. Zoom meeting will be arranged one week before the tournament.
