Stronger Together

3 August 2022

Brief Introduction:

NSW Epping West Chinese School has been approved to lead the project of Stronger Together \ Inter-Community Language Schools Badminton Challenge (hereto refer as “this project”). Funding for this project has been provided by the NSW Government. The project will run from 1 November 2021-31 October 2022, with extension to 31 January 2023.

This project will improve outcomes for culturally and linguistically diverse communities.  We aim at strengthening relationships for families and communities to work together; foster healthy family relationships; improve mental health, wellbeing and cohesive outcomes to families and communities where community language schools are concerned. We will also support diverse communities to develop socially inclusive strategies and engagement process that strengthen community capacity building skills to increase resilience, readily solve problems and embrace new opportunities.

We partner with Sydney Chinese College Badminton League Club (Hereto refer as SCCBLC) to coordinate and deliver this project. SCCBLC has successfully host badminton tournaments with 300 plus players onsite every event since 2016.

Based on the nature of Community Language Schools, we are happy to take over the registration and co-ordination role supported by a database and community hub.  Financial and non-financial value generated through this project have made sustainability a critical business pillar. All school aged students and their schools are welcomed to participate this project.

The project update will be on website: www.eppingwestchineseschool.nsw.edu.au as well as www.ccblsyd.com. Personal information is strictly protected, only team and player name will be published.
