NSW Inter Schools Badminton Tournament
Date: Sunday 29 January
Cost: Free Entry
Eligibility: Existing enrolled students at Primary and Secondary Schools across NSW.
Division: Primary (Kindergarten to Year 6), and Secondary (Year 7 to Year 12), bounded by 2023.
Team: Each team is formed by 4 to 5 players from one school or up to three schools, with at least one female player. Team will be allocated into appropriate group for first round. State team members between 2019 to 2022 should consider individual tournaments instead.
Tournament Rule: Each round consists of one single, two doubles match. Players can play in any game regardless of gender. Each round should have at least one female player. Only one player can play Single and Double once in a round. The strongest player should play in the first double match. The player list must be decided and submitted at least 30 minutes before the match, players are not allowed to switch during the game unless injury occurs.
All matches will be played in a one-set, 21-point format. There is no tie-break system. Matches won, points won and points lost in all matches are counted towards a team’s ranking in their group. The group standings will determine which teams make it into the semi-finals.
Parents acknowledge and accept that a risk that your child may be exposed to COVID-19 whilst attending and participating this tournament. Please do not attend if displaying any symptoms of illness and/or if directed to isolate under public health orders.
Parents acknowledge that they permit us to take photographs of your child, and to publish the photographs of your child on our website. Please advise otherwise before the tournament date.
Registration form should be returned to eppingwestchineseschool@outlook.com no later than 30 November 2022. One team one form. Team Supervisor should provide Working with Children Check Number. This number can be applied with no cost for volunteers.
Awards: medal or certificate will be awarded to all players, T shirts will be provided to Team Supervisors, volunteers, and qualified players.
Maximum entries: 32 teams per division.
All players should wear school sports uniform and collect wristband before match. General sports and excursion rules apply. Medical team is onsite. Public health orders and restrictions rules apply when applicable.
